About Crystal

Crystal McKee is a singer/songwriter and guitarist with a folk, soft pop/rock style similar to Sarah Mclachlan, Jewel, Lisa Loeb, and other artists alike. Crystal has been performing for a wide range audience all around southern California since 2003. Her live entertainment performances include covers of popular tunes such as "Angle" Sarah Mclachlan, "Stay" Lisa Loeb, "You Were Meant For Me" Jewel, and many more as well as upbeat poppy tunes like "Happy Together" by The Turtles and "Here Comes The Sun" by The Beatles. She mixes both well known cover songs and an occasionally plays her award winning original music.

In 2008 she released her first self produced independent debut album entitled “Take Me Away”, and immediately won an award for “Best Pop Rock Artist” as well as a nomination in the “Best Song” category for her song “Run” at the 2008 IE Music Awards.

Some places you may have seen Crystal with her guitar and P.A. are The Riverside Plaza, Victoria Gardens, Dos Lagos, Borders Book Stores, a few festivals, market nights and many coffee houses throughout southern California.

She’s also the founder of the “SoCal Female Acoustic Showcase” a showcase that features some of the best female talent in Southern California. The event will be in it's 4th season this coming summer of 2011 and has featured over 30 talented female artists from throughout southern California. It's goal is to not only showcase exceptional female talent but to become the largest female musician networking event in southern California.

So this years FAS was a success! We had a total of 21 talented femal artists booked. We we're happy to have Chris Kalt of Cut n'Dry Talent Radio (podcast) return to host our event again this year. The crowd is getting bigger every year.
